Song of the FUTURE: 9/30

Ch-ch-check it.
What I've got for you here is a sweet delicious surprise straight from Guster themselves. This fantastic band has been around for a long time, I think 3 of them are even fathers now, but they still managed to crank out another album. It's called "Easy Wonderful" and it comes out October 5th. They released the single "Do You Love Me" in August (which was the "copyright infringement" blog post I had...whatever) and I got a free download of the song "Bad Bad World", and both songs have been some of my past Song of the Moments.

BUT...here for you now is that sweet delicious surprise...today the Wall Street Journal just so happens to be streaming the new Guster album for free. Go. Ch-ch-check it! Some big Guster fans might want to wait until the album is released and just buy it. I debated that for a while too but caved in because I just had to. So please enjoy, I'm a big fan of all the songs, especially "On The Ocean"...let me know what you think!

If you're from Virginia you know it is raining. It's been raining a lot. You've all been complaining a lot too. Don't even. Don't you even. I worked in my 50 foot treehouse tower yesterday, filming races from noon til 4:30. Cold, constant rain came in sideways...thus right at me through my window. I had nowhere to go. Try that. Oh but first try climbing up into your tower with the bird crap covered ladder when it's wet, thus making it so you've got freshly re-wetted bird dumps all over your palms. Wow. Yesterday sure was an awesome day in the rain. So if I hear you complain about the rain I'm going to backhand you with the non-crap covered side of my hand. Rain is great, even when it sucks. So shut up.

Ok. Sorry. So it's a rainy day. And I have lots of songs I listen to on really rainy days if I'm in the right mood. Let's start off with the perfect rainy day song, and more will follow in the future on rainy days. This is one of my favorites by good old Guster (I hope this one isn't copyright infringement this time!) off of their old 1999 album. Such a good one. So, here it is for you...ignore the TERRIBLE video by the way...it's all I could find.

I love when little kids can't say "caterpillars" correctly. It's like when they can't say 3 so they say "phree." Adorable. Unless they are above the age of 9 and then I simply wonder if they'll forever be idiots and if they'll ever graduate high school, and I pray they'll become something more than burger flippers.

Poor dumb kids. Also, poor dumb caterpillars that are not quite good enough at hiding. Pretending to be part of the bush. Psht! I found youuuuuuu. Cool though huh?

My Song of the Moment from September 13th has apparently been removed thanks to copyright infringement. I have a hard time believing that. But thanks Guster/Blogger! :)

Regardless, now I am absolutely frightened of ever blogging again, risking more copyright infringement, and possibly "having my blog removed." OH NO!

What a lame threat. So here's a Song of the Moment instead, telling Blogger to "suck it." It's a song with a cool video that I saw a few weeks ago, and I really was getting into the song. It comes from a Chi-town band with a cool indie/folk vibe. Their album came out in June of this year and they're definitely not climbing up the charts.

Welcome to Monday you working chumps. If you're not working then sorry. If you're part-time like me then hooray, we're the best!

Ok so I love all kinds of music...but I always love music more when you can see how much the band enjoys the music. That is one reason why I like a lot of bands that don't have very big names. I feel like it is easier to love the music when you aren't only thinking about t-shirts, sales, and making as much money as you can. No one likes a sell-out. This band seems to be so much fun, and they've got a great style that feels like a really unique blend of earlier rock styles plus some of their own touches and a dash of the modern indie rock.

Anyways, I saw this music video a month ago and I liked the song but really enjoyed the video. When you watch it you can just see the fun the band is having! Plus, how could you not have fun trashing a pure white room with all your buddies while rocking out to some tunes?!

Munchies: Midnight Snack

Well why not combine the two? Ok.

I rate it 4 out of 5 spoons.



This deliciousness is tough not to eat as a dessert, breakfast, lunch, and of course a midnight snack. It's actually a lot tastier than you might think. My big concerns with cereal are taste and crunchiness+milk. It tastes great. It takes much longer than most cereals to get soggy in milk. Plus it's multi-grain. That means the dozens of grams of sugar I'm taking in from it aren't that bad for me because the word "grain" means I'm being healthy! Right?

Don't care. I'm off to eat my midnight snack.
